“Myths vs. Realities of Pentagon Spending”

Myths vs. Realities of Pentagon Spending” will be the topic of a talk by William D. Hartung,

Director of the Common Defense Campaign: Arms & Security Project of the Center for International Policy in Washington, D.C. at Vassar College, Rockefeller Hall, Room 300 at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, Nov. 15th.

Mr. Hartung is the author of “Prophets of War: Lockheed Martin and the Making of the Military-Industrial Complex” (Nation Books, 2011) and many other books on the arms trade.

He was director of  the Arms and Security Initiative at the New America Foundation. His articles

have appeared in The New York Times, the Washington Post, and The Nation, and he has been a

featured expert on national security issues on the CBS 60 Minutes, CNN, and Fox News.  His talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the World Affairs Councils of America and the Center for International Policy, together with Vassar College and the Gillespie Forum.
