Gen. Campbell: OCO funds are like “crack cocaine” | Coalition to Reduce Spending

Speaking today to reporters at the Pentagon, Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. John Campbell  said that the military’s dependance on overseas contingency operations funding “has been sort of like crack cocaine.”

“When you get it, you don’t want to get off it,” he said, despite insisting that funding should remain for the next three years, a claim others in leadership have disputed.
